I am suddenly inspired to update this blog given an amazing show has been anounced: Between The Buried And Me, Cynic, Devin Townsend Project, and Scale the Summit will be preforming at the Bijou on February 5th.
This is easily the most epic prog metal lineup to play in Knoxville in several years. All four bands are solid!
For those who don't know, BTBAM has released a new album, The Great Misdirect. Though, If your a first time listener, I recommend you first start with BTBAM's Colors album - probably their best to date.

I personally say start with the song Selkies: The endless Obsession or Mordecai or Backwards Marathon or buying Colors Live to watch the DVD Colors is their best to date, I agree, but seeing where they came from to get there is amazing :)
